National Museum of the US Air Force

I recently had the chance to visit the National Museum of the US Air Force, the official museum of the USAF located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, in Dayton, Ohio. The NMUSAF is the oldest and largest military aviation museum in the world, with more than 360 aircraft and missiles on display. It houses some of the most famous planes in military aviation history. The collection includes such names as the Memphis Belle, numerous presidential aircraft (like the Boeing 707 known as a VC-137C, which transported Kennedy to and from Texas on November 22, 1963, and which Johnson was sworn in on), the last remaining XB-70 Valkyrie (which is insane to see up close), and numerous aerospace crafts (such as the Apollo 15 command module). And.. it’s all free! I highly recommend a visit.
