So... our neighborhood was on fire today. NBD.

We had heard initial reports of small a brush fire in the Hollywood Hills. Naturally, we took to Twitter to get some updates. What started as a small patch of burning brush quickly escalated into a full-on hill fire. Smoke could be seen from our offices in Burbank. Considering that the fire was one hill over from our house (less than a mile), I figured that it would be best to assess the situation in person. I jumped in my car and headed home.

My drive home takes me through the Hollywood Hills, past the Hollywood Sign, and up to the Hollywood Reservoir. I decided to stop along the way, and take a few photos. To my surprise, the smoke was worse than I thought. 5 firefighting helicopters where dipping into the reservoir to grab water to battle the fire. Needless to say, it was a bit intense.

After about 30 minutes, it was clear that the team had it under control. Huge Thank You to the amazing job by the Hollywood Fire and Rescue teams. Your tireless work prevented a potentially dangerous situation. Job well done.
