It's officially a tradition. For the third year in a row, we made Zuma Beach our Christmas morning destination. With our immediate family living on the east coast, and our extended family spending time together, we have a quite morning together on the beach. So, we packed a lunch, laid out a blanket, and watch the waves roll in. Here's to a wonderful 2017!
The Detraux is an all-new new track complete from Pure Cycles. I had the pleasure of working on the visual design for a number of these new Track and Road bikes. Working with Product Manager Wayne Doran, I helped build the look and feel of these new speed machines. These updated models come packed with some impressive features. Stop on in to Pure Cycles and check one out.
It's hard for me to describe what truly drew me the recent Guillermo Del Toro exhibit at LACMA, because rarely do I feel such a direct connection with an artists showcase. I'm sure that being a fan of his work helped build excitement for what I was about to see. It's also true that my appreciation for the production for these type of physical pieces played into my love of the show. I would even say that the colors and textures he used throughout the rooms are palettes that I often gravitate towards.
I think the part that really hit home for me was his sense of curation. His collection was widely varied, but effortlessly coherent. There was an immediate theme, that carried throughout your visit, and stayed with you when you left. To see it all together really gave me a new appreciation for his talent.
Here are a few pictures from the show.
